The MADISON THEATER Coming Attractions

Schedule of Coming Attractions

This list of coming attractions is the films we are expecting to play.  As time goes on the dates or even the film availability may change.

A change in release date is usually for a couple of reasons

o The film is still being worked on and is not ready in time
o The studio heads or test audiences have a problem with the film and it is sent back for changes, usually in editing (This is not a good sign for a film but Titanic was pushed back for six months due to editing issues)
o Test audiences didn't like the film and the studio does not want to make a lot of copies at a cost of $3,000 to $5,000 each.  So if they cut back on the number of copies we get dropped off the list and you are spared from watching a lousy film.  If there is enough interest in a film we will bring it in “late”.
o The studios may also feel that a different release date is better for them.

We may also not get a film we have been promised because the studios sometimes break their promises.  Hey that is Hollywood ya know.

While we have a pretty good idea what films we are going to play, we are never 100% sure till the Monday night before the opening of the film.

If you find this frustrating, try being on our end of things.  But that is show business.  You don't have to be a late night talk show host to be dumped on.

So most of the time things go according to plan and we can show you what we promised. We hope you understand when we can't.

With that being said, here is a list of films we are expecting to bring to you.  There are many we are not sure enough about putting up yet so keep checking back and enjoy the show.

Changes are happening by the minute.

Studios are pushing their weight around trying to battle each other and all of us are caught in the middle.  Keep an eye on the dates films are coming out and if we will be able to bring you the films we want in 3D.  Some scheduled for 3D may not be shown in 3D due to comitments to other studios.  In the end we are always working to bring you the best entertainment we can.
